The Avondale Residences consist of two luxury homes created from the same carefully refined architectural vision, each offering over 4,200 square feet of thoughtfully designed living space in one of Haddonfield's most desirable neighborhoods. Rather than approaching each residence as a separate design exercise, our goal was to perfect a single concept—one that balanced timeless architecture, exceptional craftsmanship, and everyday livability.

Inspired by classic East Coast architecture, the homes combine painted lap siding, standing seam metal roofing, substantial front porches, divided-light windows, and refined architectural detailing to create a streetscape that feels established and enduring. Traditional design elements are complemented by modern construction methods, energy-efficient systems, and carefully selected premium materials that ensure the homes will remain as relevant decades from now as they are today.

Inside, open living spaces are organized around natural light and effortless flow. Wide-plank white ash flooring, custom inset cabinetry, handcrafted millwork, soaring ceilings, and thoughtfully layered architectural details establish a clean, sophisticated aesthetic that feels both luxurious and welcoming. Every room was designed to serve a purpose while contributing to the home's overall sense of balance and comfort.

Although built from the same architectural plans, each residence ultimately became its own home through the families who would live there. The result is a pair of luxury homes that demonstrates how exceptional design can remain timeless when executed with consistency, discipline, and uncompromising attention to detail.

The Avondale Residences were designed around a floor plan refined through experience—one that naturally supports the way modern families live, gather, entertain, and grow. Large interconnected living spaces, private bedroom retreats, generous storage, flexible bonus areas, and a finished lower level create homes that adapt to changing lifestyles without sacrificing elegance.

The chef's kitchen serves as the heart of each residence, featuring custom inset cabinetry extending to the ceiling, natural quartzite surfaces, premium Sub-Zero and Wolf appliances, and expansive gathering spaces that connect seamlessly to the great room and outdoor entertaining areas. Upstairs, the primary suite offers a private retreat complete with custom walk-in closets and a spa-inspired bath designed to provide comfort and relaxation. The finished lower level and upper loft provide additional flexibility for recreation, work, overnight guests, or future family needs.

By refining a proven design rather than continually reinventing it, we were able to focus even greater attention on craftsmanship, detailing, and execution. Every finish, every transition, and every architectural element was completed to the same exacting standard, demonstrating that repeatability and luxury are not mutually exclusive—they reinforce one another.

Behind the Build

At Foulke Construction, we believe consistency is one of the highest forms of craftsmanship.

Building two nearly identical luxury homes side by side required the same level of precision, communication, and attention to detail as any fully custom residence. Every cabinet alignment, trim detail, staircase component, tile installation, lighting layout, and finish transition had to meet the same uncompromising standard—twice.

Rather than treating repetition as routine, we viewed it as an opportunity to refine every aspect of the construction process. Lessons learned during one build immediately benefited the next, allowing us to continually improve sequencing, coordination, and execution while maintaining the premium level of craftsmanship expected in every Foulke Construction home.
